Introduction Video Chat - Prospective Client

20 minutes

This is your opportunity to ask me general questions, and get a feeling for me as your potential provider. This does not establish a patient-provider relationship and is not a consultation for specific medical advice.

Comprehensive Initial Evaluation - New Client

75 minutes

Consider this initial visit to be no pressure to dig deep or to solve all of your life's conflicts all at once. Feel free to share according to your comfort level. Typically, we will discuss what brought you in today and how it's affecting you. We will talk about your past and recent experiences with people, places, events, and review your medical and mental health history. At this visit, we may discuss how the mind and body respond to stress and how closely that response can be linked to things experienced in your past. This can be a good start to understanding how we soothe and protect ourselves when we are uncomfortable or in stressful situations. Based on your history and your symptoms, I may recommend laboratory tests to assess medical causes or contributors to how you are feeling. I will develop a plan to medically optimize or correct any nutritional deficiencies that may be contributing to your symptoms. Sometimes this requires assistance from your primary care doctor but only with your consent. We will talk about your diagnosis, ideas for your care that could include medications along with risks, benefits and alternatives, a plan for regular therapy sessions, dietary changes, nutritional supplements, exercise, sleep hygiene, and smoking cessation if interested. All that to say, during this visit you may or may not know what goals you have or how to manage everything you are dealing with. You may even be hesitant to share, or unsure about moving forward. Uncertainty is welcomed. The most important part is that you are here to feel out the process. Remember, it's doable.

Psychotherapy Session- Existing Client

60 minutes

During this visit we will discuss how you've been since your last visit. You may be asked to rate your symptoms and provide information on the progress of any implemented interventions. We will review any laboratory results, medications, and decide on next steps in your therapeutic process including any necessary changes, and how often we will meet. Therapy has been shown to have positive outcomes in changing negative thought patterns, examining repetitive and or harmful behaviors, setting and achieving goals, treating addictions, depression, anxiety, and processing grief and trauma to name a few. Therapy is very customized based on one's past experiences, current state, and outlook for the future. Therapy also helps us to navigate the way forward by harvesting one's own inner motivation towards acceptance and potential. Remember, It's not easy, but it's doable. If it were easy everybody would.
